ABOUT THE SUMMIT LEAGUE:
Through over 40 years of Division, I athletics, The Summit League offers 19 championship sports and has a combined enrollment of around 100,000 at 9 institutions, including five located in top 60 U.S. metropolitan populations and two land-grant universities. Member institutions include: the University of Denver, University of Missouri-Kansas City, University of North Dakota, North Dakota State University, University of Nebraska Omaha, Oral Roberts University, University of St. Thomas, University of South Dakota, and South Dakota State University. The Summit League has produced 15 NCAA National Champions with over 125 All-Americans and 100 Academic All-Americans including numerous student-athletes competing at the highest professional level. The Summit League headquarters are located in Sioux Falls, SD.
- Manage League office space, including supplies, equipment, post office/shipping, and office-vendor relationships (e.g., utilities, internet/phone, landlord, equipment contracts, etc.).
- Serve as the ‘front-line’ welcome person for any guests entering the office space.
- Answer and properly route any phone calls that come into the League office.
- Provide appropriate administrative support and assistance to the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner, including managing meeting requests.
- Record necessary minutes for relevant League meetings in which the Office Manager participates and/or as requested by the Commissioner or Deputy Commissioner.
- Serve as the day-to-day financial liaison for the League to third-party business operations staff.
- Assist Commissioner with management of the relationship with League CPA.
- Collect and organize receipts, invoices, and travel expense reports from staff and/or vendors for Commissioner review.
- Assist with credit card reconciliation as necessary.
- Assist with invoice generation/processing as necessary.
- Assist with third-party business operations and CPAs to complete the League’s federal tax responsibilities and audits.
- Assist with the maintenance of invoice folders and review of League expenses.
- Assist Commissioner with management of the League insurance policies with brokers/providers.
- Serve as the day-to-day human resource contact for the League, including management of the following duties:
- Maintain and manage relationships with all League benefit providers, including necessary communication to League employees.
- Assist the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner with employee personnel files.
- Assist the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner with maintaining the League Employee Manual.
- Assist with the onboarding process for new employees and offboarding procedures for departing staff.
- Assist with time-off policies for staff and process requests as necessary.
- Serve as the primary contact for the League’s championship/sport operations vendors.
- Serve as the primary contact for student-athlete participation gifts, including ordering and the development of gift suites in conjunction with the league’s third-party vendor.
- Assist with apparel ordering and distribution for staff and member institutions
- Assist with the League’s award program, in conjunction with the communications and sport operations staff, including the ordering, proofing, shipment, and institutional distribution of all awards for the regular season and championships.
- Perform research projects as assigned, including the collection and organization of data.
- Provide general operational support for Championships and Officiating administration to all League staff members who serve as Sport Liaisons.
- Assist Deputy Commissioner with administrative tasks necessary for successful operations of the Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournament(s).
- Assist the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner with scheduling and coordinating all details for League meetings, including gathering availability, scheduling the meeting, and coordinating relevant details to execute the meetings.
- At the direction of the Commissioner or Deputy Commissioner manage communication with constituents of League member institutions for relevant matters

Job Requirements
Title: Office Manager
Reports: The Commissioner & Deputy Commissioner
Designation: Part-Time (up to 28 hours per week as scheduled by the Summit League)
Location: Sioux Falls, SD
Minimum Qualifications: Two years of job-related experience which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job-related certification, training, education, and/or experience
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), OneDrive, Email Communication, Digital Calendar Creation/Maintenance, File Management
Compensation Structure: Position will be paid hourly commensurate with experience and is eligible for League retirement benefits. The position is not eligible for health benefits.
