Job Description:
The Fresh Market is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Meat Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of professional experience in meat cutting within a market or retail grocery environment. You will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality meat products to our discerning customers, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and providing excellent customer service.

• Accurately and efficiently cut, trim, bone, tie, and grind various types of meat (beef, pork, poultry, lamb) according to company standards and customer specifications.
• Ensure proper rotation of products to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
• Package, weigh, and price meat products for display.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work area, including all equipment and tools, in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service, including answering questions about meat products, offering cooking suggestions, and fulfilling special orders.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and receiving meat products.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to food safety and merchandising.
• Operate all meat department equipment safely and efficiently.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team 
• demonstrated success in managing shrink and driving sales 

Qualifications:

• 5-10 years of proven experience as a Meat Cutter in a retail grocery, butcher shop, or market setting.
• In-depth knowledge of various cuts of meat and their preparation.
• Strong knife skills and proficiency with meat-cutting equipment (saws, grinders, slicers).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong commitment to customer service and product quality.
• Ability to lift and move heavy boxes and stand for extended periods.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
