Job DescriptionMinneapolis College, a vibrant and inclusive two-year community college in Minnesota, is accepting applications for the position of Chemistry Faculty.This is an opportunity for a part-time, limited position.The successful candidate:Teaches with an inclusive and equity-minded approach.Is dedicated to excellence in teaching and has the desire to become part of a creative, vibrant, student-centered learning community.Is committed to student success.Teaches all aspects of Chemistry.Teaches in traditional as well as other delivery modes, including, but not limited to, synchronous and asynchronous online formats.Regularly develops, reviews, and revises instructional and assessment materials.Participates in the assessment of program and course student learning outcomes.Practices current teaching strategies, including active learning, learner outcome assessments, and online instruction.Should be flexible with teaching hours; with the possibilityof evening and weekendsSalary Range:$43,067.00 - $94,542.00Minimum QualificationsEducation RequirementMaster's degree with a major in chemistry or a Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in chemistry.Preferred QualificationExperience with higher education guidelines and policies.Have a minimum of two years? experience teaching. Coursework in teaching pedagogies and preparation in principled and methods of evaluation.Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population.Be knowledgeable about methods of instruction, testing and evaluation of students.Experience using instructional technologyOther RequirementsCurrent and former employees must be in good standings with Minneapolis College to be considered for the position.Attach cover letter, cv/resume, and unofficial copies of all transcripts. Minneapolis Community and Technical College (MCTC) is a public two-year college located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis.
