Job Description

Join our team of dynamic swim instructors and make an impact in the community! Our mission is to teach students water safety and proper swim techniques based on thorough knowledge of the Kids First/Kick First® curriculum. No Prior experience needed! We provide in-depth training for our technique-based curriculum that is copyrighted through the Library of Congress. We teach all ages, from 2 months to adults in a fun and rewarding environment because we believe everyone should know how to swim!

Applicants must enjoy working with children, be reliable, and have a positive work attitude.

Responsibilities

Provides swim instruction based on the Kids First/Kick First® curriculum.
Motivates and inspires students to learn new swim skills.
Maintains a safe class environment.
Constantly evaluates students to determine appropriate skill level for future classes.
Maintain good rapport with parents to provide accurate feedback on student progress.
Uses problem-solving and creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter.
Assist with onboarding and training of new hires.
Ensures pool area is tidy after each shift.
Participates in training/in-services as required.
Assists with incident management to ensure safety of all patrons.
Fulfills other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Passion for teaching and willingness to learn
Lifeguard certification preferred
