Job Description

Secure the Mission. Safeguard the Future.

As a Security Specialist supporting the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) with a focus on Special Access Programs (SAP), you will play a pivotal role in protecting some of the nation's most sensitive information. Your expertise will directly support the integrity and continuity of critical national security operations, with a strong emphasis on program protection, access control, and compliance within the framework of SAP protocols.

In this role, you’ll serve as a trusted security professional working alongside government and contractor stakeholders to implement and enforce rigorous security measures in accordance with federal regulations, including the NISPOM and ICDs. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of SAP security support, ranging from managing personnel clearances and conducting briefings to overseeing physical security measures and coordinating with SAP security authorities. Your contributions will be key in maintaining secure mission environments by conducting incident investigations, ensuring audit readiness, and training personnel on best security practices. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced security professional who thrives on precision, discretion, and collaborative problem-solving in high-stakes settings.

If you’re ready to bring your SAP knowledge to a mission-critical environment where your work truly matters, join XTS and be part of a team that protects the nation while investing in your career.

Requirements:
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance accompanied by a current CI Polygraph
  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 11 years of security-related experience
    • Or at least 15 years of security-related experience in lieu of degree
  • A minimum of 5 years of security-related experience supporting the DoD or IC with a strong understanding of federal security policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated knowledge/experience across multiple security domains such as personnel, physical, industrial, and operational security, with a comprehensive understanding of DoD and IC protocols, relevant certifications, and practical knowledge of tools, methodologies, and best practices applicable to both government and industry environments
  • Proven leadership experience directing, supervising, and coordinating the activities of security personnel to ensure consistent enforcement of security protocols, foster teamwork, and maintain mission-focused operations in a high-stakes government or contractor environment
  • Expertise in Special Access Programs (SAP) to effectively manage security and control access, ensuring sensitive programs are protected from potential risks and threats
  • Experience working with Security Classification Guides, classification reviews, and Registered Classification Officials (RCO) processes, along with expertise in physical security measures such as managing Co-Use Agreements and Compartmented Area Checklists to ensure proper safeguarding of classified information and facilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced team environments while ensuring clear coordination, accurate documentation, and professional interaction with both government stakeholders and contractor leadership
  • Ability to earn the DoD Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification IAW DoD Manual #3305.13M within 1 year of being hired, which is essential for maintaining compliance with DoD security standards
Desired:
  • Familiarity with security management tools and databases such as DISS, Scattered Castles, and other enterprise-level security systems to ensure accurate record-keeping and streamlined coordination with government security offices
  • Proven ability to conduct security audits, manage clearance processing, deliver security briefings, and support comprehensive security inspections to ensure ongoing compliance and operational integrity
  • Experience collaborating with Program Security Officers (PSOs), Contracting Officer’s Security Representatives (COSRs), and other government security officials to support security program execution and maintain regulatory compliance
