Job Description

Summary:  Operates loader for numerous jobs around the company.  Performs maintenance on machines and equipment and assists supervisor to keep operations running efficiently and safely.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Take care of and monitor all aspects of the yard and the mechanical operations of the facility. 
• Keep aggregates piles neatly and pushed up properly to avoid waste and segregation. 
• Load materials from stockpiles keeping bins full to feed batch plant and load trucks. 
• Move variety of materials including snow to clear roads and parking lots. 
• Keep track of inventory letting the supervisor know when materials need ordered 
• Operate machine consistent with safety policies of the company as well as any rules and regulations required by state and federal safety standards. 
• Oil, grease or otherwise service and make necessary adjustments or repairs to equipment and batch plant. 
• Responsible for filling out equipment sheets on a daily basis and doing any necessary follow up.  
• Blow up cement tankers when needed
• Keep reclaim ponds clean. 
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of aggregates helpful. 
• Must have experience in heavy equipment or willing to learn and must be mechanically inclined, but willing to train the right person. 
• Must be physically capable of doing manual work and lifting at least 75 pounds. 
• Computer experience helpful but not required. 
• CDL not required, but preferred.
