We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Floater Teacher to join our Warner Play and Learn team. As a Floater Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting various classrooms and ensuring the smooth operation of our daycare facility. Your primary responsibility will be to provide assistance and support to lead teachers in different classrooms, covering breaks, assisting with activities, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for children.
Responsibilities:
1. **Assist Lead Teachers:** Support lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
2. **Classroom Coverage:** Step in for lead teachers during breaks, meetings, or absences to maintain proper staff-to-child ratios.
3. **Supervision:** Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, both indoors and outdoors.
4. **Engagement:** Engage children in educational and recreational activities, promoting social, emotional, and cognitive development.
5. **Communication:** Maintain open and effective communication with lead teachers, staff, and parents regarding children's progress, behaviors, and any concerns.
6. **Assist with Daily Tasks:** Assist with meal times, diaper changing, potty training, and other daily routines as needed.
7. **Classroom Setup:** Help set up and maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
8. **Flexibility:** Adapt quickly to changing schedules and classroom assignments as needed.
9. **Team Collaboration:** Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive work environment.
10. **Professional Development:** Participate in training sessions, workshops, and staff meetings to continuously improve skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required. Child development associate (CDA) credential or relevant coursework in early childhood education preferred.
2 Previous experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or educational setting preferred.
3.Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Patience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for working with children.
4. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
5. Must pass background checks in accordance with state regulations.

Duties - Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
- Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching.
- Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.
- Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
- Ensure a healthy classroom environment - including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
- Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities, hygiene and safety standards.
- Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements - High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents).
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
- Must clear full background check.
Nice To Haves CDA or associates degree.
Knowledge/experience in early childhood.
