Client is a dynamic design studio dedicated to crafting well-conceived gardens, innovative conservation plans, and thoughtful urban designs. We believe that great design stems from collaborative teamwork, and we are seeking a passionate Staff Designer to join our team and grow within a holistic, hands-on environment.
Job Overview:As a Landscape Architect Designer , you will play an integral role in all stages of the design process-from site analysis and research to plan development and construction documentation. You will collaborate closely with senior designers and project managers to deliver beautiful, functional, and sustainable landscapes.
Responsibilities:Conduct site inventory and analysis through project site visits.
Research zoning codes, environmental regulations, and best practices, particularly within the Chesapeake Bay watershed.
Collaborate with project managers throughout the design and construction phases.
Develop schematic design presentation books and client-facing materials.
Create graphic and written project presentations.
Produce 3D models, visual perspectives, and renderings.
Draft detailed construction document packages, including grading, planting, and construction detailing.
Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture.
0 5 years of experience working in a professional landscape architecture studio environment.
Strong technical design, detailing, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office.
Proficiency in AutoCAD or Vectorworks (preferred).
Excellent freehand drawing and graphic communication skills.
Strong oral and written communication abilities.
Ability to manage time effectively, work independently, and self-edit deliverables.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and energetic studio environment.
Enthusiastic about horticulture, with a passion for landscape design.
Curious, artistic, personable, hardworking, and fun to work with.
Experience with grading design, planting plans, and construction detailing.
