We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern to join our Finance and Accounting team. Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial statements.
  • Develop an understanding of financial acumen and business practices to inform key business decisions based on data.
  • Support accurate financial reporting processes and gain knowledge of corporate accounting principles.
  • Utilize business intelligence tools to analyze and interpret data for operational insights.
  • Contribute to the internal control framework, ensuring compliance with established regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with team members on various projects to improve financial processes and decision-making practices.

Additional Job Responsibilities

  • Learn and apply best practices in financial planning and analysis to support organizational objectives.
  • Research and resolve open issues with the customer accounts, including developing a plan for consolidation to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Manage sales tax certificate requests for short-paid items, ensuring compliance and accurate documentation.
  • Develop and implement solutions for undelivered emails, including creating a process with a small team to address and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Conduct contact tab clean-up and convert customers from mailed to emailed statements, ensuring accurate and timely communication.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools (experience with business intelligence tools is a plus).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented, with a commitment to delivering accurate and high-quality results.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
