Job Description

We are currently seeking an accurate, experienced, and thorough accountant to join our company. In this role, you will demonstrate your expertise in a variety of accounting practices, including accounts receivable and payable, reconciling the general ledger, processing payroll, sales tax and processing income tax returns. To succeed in this position, you will be highly accurate and efficiently adding value to the office and upholding our firm's exceptional reputation. May require occassional travel to Three Rivers office location.

Accountant Duties and Responsibilities

• Interact with clients on the phone, email, and in-person
• Help with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation
• Review and reconcile the general ledgers regularly
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations at all times
• Uphold the excellent reputation of our firm
• Maintain constant communication with the senior accountant and our clients
• Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve shared goals

Accountant Requirements and Qualifications

• Associate's degree in accounting or relevant field required
• Minimum 1-year experience as an accountant or bookkeeper in a corporate setting
• Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office and databases
• Superior math skills and an analytical mind
• Familiarity with Quickbooks and financial statements
• Consistent, accurate, thorough, and detail-oriented
• Exceptional organizational skills and aptitude for numbers
• Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Polished phone and email etiquette
• Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment

Nice to Have

• Corporate and personal tax experience is a plus
• Experience with accounts payable and receivable is preferred
• Bachelor's degree is preferred
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36,418.55 - $43,858.90 per year

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
