Job Title Customer Service Specialist
What does a successful Customer Service Specialist do at Fiserv? At Fiserv, a successful Customer Service Specialist is dedicated to meeting and exceeding client expectations through the delivery of excellent service. This role involves collecting outstanding debts via telephone in a call center environment, establishing rapport with merchants, and negotiating payment terms in compliance with all regulations.
What You Will Do - Collect outstanding accounts via telephone in a call center environment
- Utilize both manual and automatic telephone dialing systems to contact merchants
- Establish rapport with merchants to overcome objections and negotiate debt payments
- Document all discussions and actions in a tracking system or database
- Confirm payment arrangements and finalize calls
- Work on special projects as assigned
What You Will Need To Have - 5+ years of customer service experience
- 2+ years of collection experience
- 2+ years of call center experience
- High School Diploma, GED and/or equivalent military experience
- Experience with computer systems and accessing information to provide data to clients
What Would Be Great To Have - Previous work experience in payment processor collections, bank collections, credit card collections, or any related field
- Bi-lingual French
- Experience handling special projects such as administrative tasks and working off ticketing system
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities
