Join a growing General Contractor as they enter a pivotal phase of transformation. LaSalle Network is hiring a Controller for a PE-backed construction company with deep market traction in Illinois and seeing fast growth beyond. With this growth and market position they need the right finance leader to scale them.
Reporting to a CFO, you’ll own the accounting process leading a team of 5–7 across accounting professionals and play a central role in their system implementation, financial reporting, and audit prep. The company is looking for someone who’s excited to bring order to growth and build something lasting.

Controller Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department
• Lead, coach, and develop staff in AP, AR, payroll, and general accounting
• Partner with the CFO and PE controller to enhance reporting systems and processes
• Drive timely monthly closes and accurate financial reporting
• Own the annual external audit process and interface with KPMG
• Oversee final stages of CMiC integration and ensure adoption across teams

Controller Requirements:

• 8–10 years in construction accounting (will consider more or less with relevant experience)
• Strong people leadership and communication skills
• Experience working with private equity or external financial stakeholders
• Prior CMiC experience is a major plus
• Must be able to work onsite 4 days/week

The salary range for this role is $150,000 – $170.000, plus a bonus. ?A comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical / dental / vision insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
