We're currently seeking a motivated and skilled Concrete Laborer/Finisher to join our crew and help us deliver outstanding results for our clients.
Job Summary:
The Concrete Laborer/Finisher will work as a key member of our construction team to assist in the pouring, spreading, and finishing of concrete surfaces for various construction projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically fit, and eager to work in a fast-paced environment. This role plays an essential part in achieving high-quality concrete finishes while ensuring safety and efficiency on site.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Preparation & Material Handling:
Assist in setting up concrete forms and placing reinforcement materials.
Load and transport concrete materials and tools to designated work areas.
Ensure proper mixing, pouring, and spreading of concrete according to project specifications.
Concrete Finishing:
Use hand tools and power equipment to finish concrete surfaces, including smoothing, troweling, and edging.
Operate concrete vibrators or other equipment to help settle and consolidate the mix, ensuring durability and strength.
Assist in applying curing compounds and ensuring proper finishing techniques are followed for optimal results.
Safety and Quality Control:
Adhere to all on-site safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Inspect work areas and tools regularly to maintain a safe environment.
Report any issues or deviations from project plans to the supervisor immediately.
General Labor Tasks:
Clean and maintain job site, equipment, and work areas.
Assist crew members with additional tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn.
Follow all instructions from supervisors and work collaboratively to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Prior experience in concrete work, including finishing and general labor on construction sites, is preferred but not required.
Experience operating concrete finishing tools is an asset.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy materials (up to 50 lbs), bending, squatting, and standing for long periods.
Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Skills & Attributes:
Basic knowledge of concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing techniques.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Certifications:
Safety training or certifications (e.g., OSHA 10/30) are preferred, but not mandatory.
Licenses:
A valid driver's license may be required, depending on job specifics.

Environment:
Work primarily outdoors on construction sites with exposure to varying weather conditions.
Noise, dust, and other common site conditions are expected.
