With the launch of our new veterinary practices, we are looking for a full-time **Associate Veterinarian** to join our Healthcare Practice Team. **What You'll Do:**
+ Empower team to deliver an unparalleled client experience.
+ Develop a rapport with clients and resolve their needs and wishes.
+ Perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures in a way that will deliver quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
+ Has mastered medical skills and perform basic surgery.
+ Explain physical examination findings and communicate a diagnosis of the pet's condition; generate and present a treatment plan for the pet to the client.
+ Educate clients on preventative health care, including vaccines and appropriate nutritional products.
+ Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and make certain all logs are kept up to date through established protocols; assist colleagues in follow-up and future management of the patient.
+ Staying current with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine, attend continuing education meetings.
+ Assist in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure the delivery of the highest quality care.
+ Positively represents the clinic in the professional community and to the public.
+ Support Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants with escalations as needed.
+ Participation in self-development courses and Chewy Vet Care required compliance training.
+ Perform related duties and assignments by management.
+ Oversee operating, safety, and compliance procedures as required by applicable law and Chewy Vet Care processes and policies.
+ Position may require some travel.
**What You'll Need:**
+ A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM, VMD) or equivalent is required
+ Active State license in good standing, DEA license and other state credentials as required
+ 0 - 2 years' experience in general medicine and surgery
+ 2 years of supervised experience with veterinary radiation machines preferred
+ Multi-task with a high degree of integrity and accountability.
+ Outstanding listening and problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Comfortable collaborating with other veterinary professionals in a team-oriented environment.
+ Is passionate about helping people and pets with empathy and excellent customer service focus.
+ Ability to multi-task and perform well in a face paced, self-starter environment.
**Physical Job Requirements:**
+ Standing or walking up to 80% per shift.
+ Frequently lift up 50 to 70 pounds using an optional team lift.
+ Occasionally lift greater than 70+ pounds using a team lift.
+ Stand, push, pull, carry, squat, and kneel.
